Holy Heroclix Batman! Part 2

I'm practically giddy about my first foray into the world of eBay. My first bid, I bid on and won the full set of Classic TV Batman figures to go along with the way too cool Heroclix Batmobile my sweet wife gifted me with.

It is a counter top display that contains all 16 figures in the set with eight random duplicates. The iconic Dynamic duo vs some of the best of their TV foes, including some lesser known villains such as King Tut and the Bookworm (Portrayed on screen by the great Roddy McDowall.

Here the Caped Crusaders do what they do best, complete with campy sound effects graphics, just like in the show.

POW!

That's going to leave a mark.

But you also get sculpts of the Dynamic Duo doing their famous wall-scaling routine via Batarang and Bat-Rope. How cool is that? All that's missing is one of the 14 celebrities of the '60s who poked their heads out a window to make with a cheesy quip or two. Holy Rat Pack, Batman! That's Sammy Davis Jr.

And Here we have Bruce Wayne taking an urgent call from Commissioner Gordon while his young ward, Dick Grayson, flips back Shakespeare's head to open the secret bookcase which conceals the Bat Poles. This is quite possibly my favorite pair of figures.

Quick Robin! To the Bat-Poles!

I'm going to have to make room in the Bat Cube to fit all these new figures and the Batmobile inside. But, I think when it is all said and done, I need to build a replica of the Bat Cave to display them properly. Holy foam-core and poster board, Batman--This sounds like a job for the Supa Cat Daddy!

Holy Heroclix Batman!

Holy Heroclix, indeed! Here's the new pride and joy of my Heroclix Collection--
Ooooo! Can't wait to get this out of the box!

For my money there's no Batmobile quite as cool as the classic 1966 TV version. Now HeroClix has launched a fully playable version, and what a sweet ride she is, too!

When I saw her I had to have her, and now she is the showpiece of my HeroClix collection.

Just look at this baby!

From the distinctive nose and grille work

To the sleek lines of her profile

Fins, afterburners and drogue chutes,

Who could ask for anything more?

Wouldn't you love to jump in and take her for a spin?

Is there a more recognizable vehicle in the world?

Plus, she's fully playable either as a piloted or autopiloted vehicle once you slip her on to her HeroClix base. There's even some optional campy signage for effect.

Here are the specs. You can take a closer look at them on the HeroClix website.

But what would the Batmobile be without the Caped Crusaders?

I can't wait to collect them all!

You can check out some shots of the the "66 Heroclix Batmobile over on Anaglyphopolis!

The Mikey Beast

IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME! Oh, wait... Wrong guy.

"X-Men Days of Future Past" is about to swing into production and we've just gotten a glimpse of an older Hank McCoy, A.K.A. "the Beast."

Hey! He's going gray too!

A mutant after my own heart, he's a beast molded on the Beauty and the Beast archetype. He's a brilliant scholar, scientist and artist with a sense of humor and a fear of rejection by society. Yep. Mikey can relate.

Why so serious?
Never make Cookie Monster angry.

In previous X-Men movies the Beast was portrayed by Kelsey Grammar. In "X-Men First Class," Nicholas Hoult plays the big blue guy. He'll reprise the role in the upcoming "Days of Future Past."

I decided it was Time for me to take a turn as Big Blue.

Hey, where's Wolverine?

Mikey Beast

Hey! Not too shabby if I say so myself. Such a menacing look. So powerful... So primal... But...

Aw Man! Give a mutant the heads up when his junk is hanging out.
Gotta keep it real, Yo. Yep, that would be me, un-tucked, Shirt riding up, All the other mutants pointing and laughing.

C'mon Guys! Quit chasing me. I'm having a hard time catching my breath.
I'm afraid this would be my fate.

Still-- If Sesame Street and Avatar taught us anything, big blue guys are always a hit with the ladies!

Blown Away Team

I love HeroClix. I love HeroClix even more now that they have Star Trek figures. But I'm confused about something. What the heck are these guys? They're labeled as Star Trek Tactics but it doesn't make any sense to battle them against starships. The packaging says that they follow the same rules and use the same powers and abilities cards as regular HeroClix but I've read online that they are not compatible or allowed to be played in some tournaments. What's up with that? I've also read that they are a set for the stand alone game Star Trek Expeditions but the figures didn't come with that game or those rules and it wasn't even mentioned on the box. So what's up with that? I'm so confused but I love them anyway.
