Cubism

Batcube, left side
Work continues on the Batcube. This is some of the aztecing and surface detail on the left side. The entire cube will have roughened texture applied to it. I still have quite a bit of surface detail to add. Legs are partly constructed. I still have two inside trays to build. I can't wait to finish construction and get it to paint.

Da Da Da da da Da da da Da Da BATCUBE!

Batcube Front

Work continues on the mysterious "Batcube." Don't worry about the rough texture. It will have a lot more texture than that when I'm finished with it. Now to add the surface detail to the sides and back, build it's legs and the outer shell is ready for texture and paint.

Heroics In Action

Heroics are little 1" superhero characters blind-packaged in plastic balls. I'm only 3 chase figures away from having the entire set. Now Zerboz has released a cool 'Dark Knight Rising" set. They won't be available in stores near me until Fall. Here is my collection so far.

The Bat-Man

The Mystery and Majesty of the Bearded Batman
Over on my other blog, "The Gentleman Time Traveler," I take you way back to 1939 and the origins of Batman's iconic look. Believe it or not, he wasn't always envisioned as the dark, mysterious caped-crusader we know and love.  "The Bat-Man," (with bonus material) Check it out!

And don't forget, at the bottom of this blog, underneath the blog posts, right next to the thermostat, you can watch movie serials in their entirety starting with the two Batman serials from the 1940s. And yes, you can see me as the Bearded Batman in 3D over on my other, other blog "Anaglyphopolis."

Serial: Part of a Balanced Breakfast

Hey kids! I've added a new feature to this blog. If you scroll to the bottom, underneath my blog posts, you'll see, "Supa Cat Daddy Presents Movie Serials." Now you can watch classic movie serials right from the comfort of this blog. Isn't that just spiffy?

We'll start off with "Batman" from 1943 starring Lewis Wilson as the Caped Crusader.
